Click2learn, leader in enterprise productivity solutions, today announced that Sierra Military Health Services, provider of managed healthcare services for active duty and retired military personnel and their families in 13 northeastern and mid-Atlantic states and Washington, DC, has chosen Aspen to deliver and track mandated training for its employees. Sierra Military Health chose Aspen based on the strength of its single, integrated platform, as well as its flexibility and ease-of-use. The company will use a hosted deployment of the Aspen Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver, manage, track and report on required training – both online and instructor-led. The company already uses Click2learn’s ToolBook content and simulation authoring solution to create new employee orientation courses and other, mandatory courseware such as training to comply with the Health Insurance Privacy and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other regulatory legislation. “The primary challenges in our learning initiative are to provide quality training to a geographically diverse employee population and to be able to consistently prove compliance by tracking and reporting training results,” said Eileen Bracken, senior e-learning specialist at Sierra Military Health. “With more and more government regulation, we have increased the number of courses we deliver to our employees. Aspen will allow us to maintain verifiable records, demonstrating to the government that we have fulfilled our contract requirements. The system also gives us the tools to customize our training modules to our business segment.”
