The Affinion Group is bringing on an E-Learning Consultant for 90 days to assist us in entering the E-Learning arena. The position is open in our Westerville, OH Contact Center. The Consultant will be serving as a SME in the field, will be tapped for their technical expertise, and will serve to help eliminate many of the pitfalls and errors that companies make in their E-Learning infancy.
Affinion Group E-Learning Consultant (90 Day Position)
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the enterprise E-Learning team to assist in the transition to E-Learning.
- Share e-learning’s benefits and approaches.
- Advise and coach instructional designers on eLearning techniques, instructional strategies, and design best practices.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert by implementing workshops that enhance the Affinion staff’s knowledge of effective design and recommending e-Learning topics for research and development.
- Interface with Training Manager to establish priority of projects, provide updates of project status, changes and setbacks.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in e-Learning instructional design with a documented record of accomplishments.
- Experience developing e-Learning materials with Flash, HTML, XML, and Photoshop.
- Familiarity with SCORM and AICC standards and experience creating and
integrating e-learning content with standards-compliant learning management systems.
- Ability to work effectively with management, instructional designers, and media specialists.
- Professional presence and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility, judgment, and time-management.
- Ability to organize, multitask, and work independently under pressure to meet deadlines.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise using content development tools and LMS systems.
- ToolBook experience is preferred (version 8.x or higher).
- Macromedia Flash experience preferred.
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Expertise with audio and video editing.
- Graphic design skills preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in instructional design, education or related field required.
- Master’s Degree in instructional design, education or related field preferred.
