SumTotal Systems, the largest provider of learning and business performance technologies and services, along with its Brazilian partner, MicroPower, today announced that SumTotal president, Kevin Oakes, will deliver a keynote address at the e-Learning Brasil Conference as part of the company’s annual participation in the show. SumTotal is a Diamond Sponsor of the conference, the largest in Latin America, held this year at the Gran Melia Convention Center in Sao Paolo on June 15 and 16th. The event draws hundreds of executives from around the region and focuses on learning trends and technologies in business, industry, government and education.
Oakes will deliver his keynote, entitled “The Impact of Learning on Performance,” at the opening session of the conference on Wednesday morning, June 15. Included in his presentation will be a discussion of the critical link between learning and business metrics, real-world customer examples and an exploration of current learning and business performance industry trends. Oakes also will sit on the “Presidents Panel,” an annual session during which company presidents discuss what capabilities, benefits and results company presidents expect from their organizations’ learning initiatives and technologies.

The e-learning market in Brazil has grown significantly over the past several years, expanding from $31 million in 1999 to more than $235 million in 2004, and forecasted to reach $1 billion by 2008.
