I would like to announce that the following site has been fully decaffed and contains close to 50 demontrations and tutorials with a major focus on the Actions Editor, the Simulation Editor, and HTTP Post. http://tcc-pub.com/tb2004sp2/demos.htm
There have been a few comments regarding the Decaf release this week and I would like to report my findings after many weeks of being involved in the Beta program. Initially, my focus in testing was to verify that products of all the lessons in my latest book worked as desired when published with Decaf. Going into last week’s release of Decaf, I am pleased to say that all my concerns were addressed and things needing to be fixed were fixed. When I was done with testing of that batch of files, I proceeded to republish all the files found either as demonstrations or tutorials on the above web link. Again, I would like to report that testing the output in IE has shown that things are working as expected. If anyone has something to the contrary to say when looking at these, let me know and I will try to find time to look into it. Likewise, all applications were published to be viewed in the other Browsers now supported but I have done no testing there. So, if you test in something other than IE, I would be happy to take a look at what you have found and report to STS as needed, providing I have the time to do so.
Many thanks to the STS folks on doing a good job with this release. Aaron Smith was very good in communicating with me and getting me the latest release. Likewise, with issues that I felt were critical to the success of this release, Tim Barham provided valuable insights into what was going on as well as providing fixes to all things I reported. The great thing was that neither challenged what I reported as being real which made me feel like my time was well spent. As of today, I have only one issue of concern about a difference between a build of Decaf prior to last week’s release and the build released last week and I have communicated with Tim B. on this with the hope of a resolution.
Back to the updated site. If you find a broken link, be kind as this was many folders of files that had to be updated and then many old folders cleaned out with stuff prior to Decaf and I waited until I was done before making the swap over.
