TELUS, has made ToolBook the standard content authoring tool across its enterprise, as well as requiring content vendors to use ToolBook when creating custom content for the company. The company uses ToolBook to create and deliver a wide variety of learning content, from corporate ethics training, to essential information supporting new product launches to training on new system enhancements.

United Kingdom’s Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose Chooses Click2learn’s Aspen to Drive Merlin Helicopter Pilot Training

Click2learn, leader in enterprise productivity solutions, announced today that the Merlin Training Facility, part of the United Kingdom’s 824 Naval Air Squadron based at Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose in Cornwall, England, has chosen the Aspen Enterprise Productivity Suite™ to manage and deploy its 2500-lesson curriculum designed to support operation and maintenance of the Royal Navy’s new Merlin helicopters. Aspen will be employed in a variety of ways ranging from converting existing training to a Web-based format, to developing new content, to broad-scale learning management and training deployment. The Merlin Training Facility trains pilots, observers, air crewman and engineers to operate and maintain the Royal Navy’s new multi-role helicopter. The curriculum covers a range of career and professional training for personnel with varying degrees of aviation experience ranging from novices to experienced aircrew men and engineers converting from other Front Line helicopter types. The training curriculum is based on a central tenet of maintenance of flight safety and airworthiness. Aspen will allow the Merlin Training Facility to manage the curriculum in a closely configured environment in which real-world changes are flowed into the training system as soon as they occur.

Kern County, California Creates and Delivers Training and Certification to Staff and Agency Partners With Click2learn’s Aspen

Click2learn, leader in enterprise productivity solutions, today announced that Kern County, California’s third largest county in area and home to more than 661,000 residents, has chosen to implement the Aspen Enterprise Productivity Suite™ in its Department of Human Services to provide mandated training and certification for its employees and its community and agency partners. The Kern County Department of Human Services provides customer-centered services including financial and medical aid, food and employment assistance and child welfare services including foster placement, adoption and family reunification. Kern County chose Aspen based on the successful results the California C-IV Consortium (San Bernardino, Riverside, Stanislaus and Merced Counties) achieved with Aspen. The Consortium used Aspen to create, deliver and maintain an automated, integrated information system to help its 6000 employees meet the human services needs of over 350,000 families in the four-county area.
